JOSHUA AARON CATBAGAN
Hello, I am a Houston based artist: Writer, Director, Video Editor, and Graphic Designer. I pride myself in being a student of many disciplines, a jack of all trades as some would say, and my work reflects that in many ways. Film is my preferred medium as an artist; I find myself wearing multiple hats in all the different projects I take on, bringing them to completion from pre-production to post-production.
Films I’ve been an editor for have been featured in multiple film festivals, including The Houston Filmmakers Showcase featured at the River Oaks Theater and The Pearland Short Flix Film Festival where I won the audience choice award for my short film “CRUSH” which I wrote, directed and edited. Recently, I tabled at Houston Cinema Art’s Creators Market with my film group, “Giggle Circle Productions”, selling zines and posters I designed from our past short films.
I find the skillset I’ve curated through film has been applicable in many different visual mediums; above all, my work ethic has proven itself time and time again.
During my free time I’m either reading on the couch, eating, cuddling my two cats, or doing all three.
